Hospital da Luz | Learning Health is dedicated to the advanced training of professionals, translational research, and innovation in the areas of health care delivery and management. Our team already provided 1800 courses and events, trained 45 000 professionals, is involved in 165 clinical trials and has been participating in 320 research projects.

Universidade Nova de Lisboa (UNL) led the creation of CoLAB TRIALS through its organic units: Nova Medical School (NMS) and Information and Management School (IMS). NMS and IMS established a joint venture to constitute NOVA CRU, the Clinical Research Unit from UNL. Through NMS, the Comprehensive Health Research Center (CHRC) is the Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia (FCT) Unit integrating CoLAB TRIALS.

Germano de Sousa is more than a Portuguese company providing laboratory medicine analysis for the last 45 years. It is a group of physicians specialized in clinical pathology and specialized technicians, who have always been side by side with all the other medical doctors colleagues, sharing with them expert experience in laboratory medicine, at the service of the patient. It brings together cutting-edge technology and the strict compliance of recent and in-force legislation in Laboratory Genetic Diagnosis, including Oncology.

Unidade Local de Saúde de Lisboa Ocidental (EPE) is one of the largest public hospital centres in Lisbon, associating 3 health units (750 beds), with 4.500 professionals of which 600 clinicians across 50 therapeutic areas providing daily healthcare to a population around 1 million (influence area). It includes professional support to clinical research teams with an average of 85% of recruiting rates across the 96 clinical trials. The expertise and
quality of clinical research and reuse of health data-related projects of ULSLO team, fully aligned with European Regulations and Ethical guidelines, will certainly be an added value to future consortia/partnerships under the scope of national and international clinical trial projects.

Universidade de Évora (UÉ) is a center for the creation, transmission and diffusion of culture, science and technology, which, through the articulation of study, teaching and research, is integrated into the life of society. CoLAB TRIALS’ headquarters are located at the S. João de Deus School of Nursing which is dedicated to creating, transferring, and sharing culture, science, technology and the art of nursing.

APIFARMA is the Portuguese Association of the Pharma Industry that associates 114 private companies. Its mission is to foster the innovation and
the development of therapies that answer to the treatment and prevention needs of new diseases, as well as make available medicines which contribute to improve the health and wellbeing of the populations.

EUPATI – Portugal EUPATI-Portugal is a non-profit association since 2017 as the Portuguese platform from EUPATI. Patient representatives, academic institutions, and the pharma industry work together to promote patient and community education to reinforce their involvement in clinical
research and medicines development.
